It might have been the most brilliant thing I'd seen in quite a while....
So, Show.
I hadn't been to a show in a long time, seeing as I lived in Las Cruces, A.K.A, The Land of No Shows. It's ironic, because we have a thriving local scene as far bands go, but our supply of available venues is pretty sad. We've got a couple tiny coffee shops that can only hold an audience of about seven people. There's one stage by a bowling alley that is kind of overpriced, a Christian owned "room" that only seems to hold metal shows, and the occasional house show. All in all, our shows are usually either cramped or depressingly empty.
But, getting to the point. My winter break just started this Friday, and since my weird little art school decided to be year round, our breaks, when we do get them, are ridiculously long. What better way to celebrate than go to a show every night they are availible?
The first night, I went to a metal show. Truthfully, I didn't really like the band too much, but my bestest crony in the land was going out with the drummer so I bit my tongue. But, I have to say, I was really impressed with the vocals. I had never seen a girl that could throat so good. She was pretty fucking incredible.
