Double Standard in the "land of the free"

Here we go again with one of my biggest pet peeves. Double standard. Something that makes me angry to no end. Think about it...your female boss is being a hard-ass and making you work hard. What is she? A bitch. Now your male boss is doing the same thing. What is he? A hard-working boss. Another example. A guy and a girl have sex. The guy is all of a sudden considered "the man" And is generally congratulated. The girl becomes "the slut", is frowned upon, and gossiped over.
Doulbe standard can go the other way, though, if you look for it. A man sees a woman undressing in front of a window. He can be arrested as a "peeping Tom". Different situation...a woman sees a man undressing in front of his window. She can have him arrested for indecent exposure. Sounds like the guy gets it either way. The reason you don't often see the men as the victims, whether or not they are, is because society likes to side with the underdog. They immediatly antagonize the bigger force. Think about how many people you know hate McDonalds. I know I do. They are HUGE, and it and makes them the enemy, they aren't people, they're McDonalds...the indestructible take-over-the-world fast food joint. Scary.
